FESTIVAL OF WORDS 2016
Trg sv. Marka
Šušur! Festival had devoted this year's program to the socio-political aspect of intellectual migration and associated cause-effects. The goal was to examine the emergence of nomadism in the context of art, primarily literature, and try to find an answer to a question whether the origin of this phenomenon lies in a search for inspiration and adventure, or it is a consequence of the necessity and actuality.
“I MOVED ON until
I WENT BACK"
30. October - 6. November 2015
University of Applied Arts Vienna
Lichthöfe A and B
The exhibition brings together artists whose works explore landscape as an expanded idea. As dynamic processes that are shaped over time or as personal experiences, sites record traces that later on are evoked and imprinted in our mind. The assertion I moved on until I went back conveys a personal experience in which the remembrance of an event generates movement – an inner transformation that may alter the memory of the event itself.
